"Parsers" settings |
|
For highlight of lexical terms in various programming languages Visual Comparer use such concept as Parser. Since version 1.0 lexical parsers are realized as external plug-in modules. Each module can contain a collection of parsers and is submitted as a file with extension prs. Plug-in modules are placed in the disk catalog /parsers.
For convenient recognition of differences in Visual Comparer each difference block is allocated with the certain color depending on type. You can adjust color of a background of each difference block as you wish. All adjusted colors used for each parser individually. By change of colors for difference blocks we recommend to load any files for comparison. With color options you can observe all manipulations at once in Comparison Panes. It enables to choose desirable colors for difference blocks.
Each parser represents a collection of tokens and each token in the "Tokens Colors" group determines some lexical term and has visual styles - color, bold, italic and underline. You can change visual styles of any token. For this purpose you need to choose a parser from the list of parsers available, specify a required token and then specify desirable color using the combobox of color or select appropriate visual style.
For restoration of visual styles in each group as before use Default and Default All buttons. First of them restores properties by default for current token in the list of tokens, and the second - restores properties of all tokens for current parser in the parsers list.
Note: Plug-in modules from UNICODE and ANSI versions of Visual Comparer do not match each other! Be attentive at installation of new modules.
